First let me say if you’re planning a trip to Rome: I’m jealous! Then permit me to provide the following strategies for things you can do.

1) Pizza! You have to do it right, though you can’t go to Italy without eating pizza. Head over to Roscioli, one third-generation pizzeria making great Italian food the actual way it should be. If you want to head there for dinner, remember to book in advance or be prepared to wait, as the place is popular. Service is, quick, friendly and however, and your selection of snacks and wines are superb.things to do in Rome

2) Check out the Vatican Museums free of charge in the last Sunday of every month, from 8: 30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (the very last admission are at 12: 30 p.m.).

3) Pray for Salvation: Churches are indeed everywhere in Rome, even though maybe not. There are over 900 of them, according to Wikipedia! Most are totally free and one of the most spectacular will be the Four Rome Basilicas of San Giovanni in Laterano, Saint Paul.

4) Quench your thirst: No need for bottled water here! Take a drink from the fountain when you go by for a refreshing treat.

5) Take a trip back in time: and visit the Tempio di Adriano (Temple of Hadrian). Set of many a Hollywood film, this relic from your past is located in between the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Afterwards you are able to nip into Salotto42 for an aperitif – it’s located just throughout the Piezza di Pietra

6) Then following that…go to the Pantheon at no cost!

7) Ingest the scene: the highest part of the metropolis in Lo Zodiaco, that provides a 180 degree view over Rome. Take a few points for the monoculars or bring your own pair and enjoy the city go by!

8) Dance the evening away: in Rome’s hippest club, Micca. Located underground in what was once a massive wine cellar, this place is very chic and a great way to obtain a flavour of the local clubbing and nightlife scene. Perhaps La Cabala would be more to your taste if you’re not so much of a dancer though. Comprised of three levels: a lounge, a piano bar along with a club, it possesses a stunning location within a historic building overlooking the Lungotevere.

9) Picnic just like your life is dependent upon it: you’re spoilt for choice! Walk with the dreamy Borghese Gardens, settle down in Villa Ada or picnic with friends and relations in Villa Pamphili.

10) Drink like the locals: the Etabli aperitif bar is beautiful and very popular amongst locals. Head over after 7pm to discover the romantic atmosphere, the welcoming buzz of locals as well as the delicious finger food and drinks. What a terrific way to say good bye to your fabulous city!
